Yesterday evening Jeff Stinco arrived in Los Angeles and joined the rest of the band in the recording studio, where they’ve been working on the new Simple Plan album for two days now.

Four out of five members of Simple Plan (Jeff will arrive in L.A. later today) are already hard at work in the recording studio with producer Howard Benson and some of the band members have already updated their Instagrams with some pictures from today’s recording session!

And the news we’ve all been waiting for is finally here! Simple Plan’s drummer Chuck Comeau has just revealed that Simple Plan’s fifth studio album, which the band starts recording tomorrow, will be produced by Howard Benson!
Howard Benson is an American producer, who’s previously produced a huge number of multi-platinum albums of bands such as The All-American Rejects (“Move Along”), Hoobastank (“The Reason”), My Chemical Romance (“Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge”) and MANY MORE! For his producing work, he’s been nominated twice for a Grammy award in the Producer of the Year category.

Howard Benson in fact commented on his involvement with the next Simple Plan record almost a month ago on his Twitter page, calling the new album “ground breaking”. Check out his tweet:

Yesterday, David Desrosiers had arrived to Los Angeles, where Simple Plan will be recording their 5th studio album, starting tomorrow. His first steps after landing led him to the Pro Italia motorbike store, where he got himself a 2015 Bonneville T100. Apparently, David also revealed to Pro Italia, that he expects the recording process should take the band about 3 months.

Accès Illimité continues filming segments with each member of Simple Plan for their upcoming special episode of this TV program on TVA and after filming with Pierre and then Chuck in California, the host (Anouk Meunier) went back to Montreal to film with the rest of the band. Yesterday, Anouk Meunier spent some time record store shopping with David Desrosiers, with whom they even managed to find some music treasures on vinyl.
