Simple Plan dine with Simple Plan Foundation auction winners

Last night, the members of Simple Plan got together in Montreal to – just like they do every year – have a fancy dinner with the Simple Plan Foundation auction winners, who donated money to their charity for this experience. The three generous auction winners were greeted with a nice meal at the Le Muscadin restaurant and even got to hear a little acoustic concert from the members of SP. Below, you can check out how the guys managed to play “Jet Lag” from behind their seats at the restaurant table:

The newly released interview with Pierre from ‚Ça commence bien’ included a couple of pictures from the Reset reunion, including a picture of the whole original line-up that performed at the reunion – that is Pierre, Phil, Chuck and David. More info, new photo and trailer for Jeff’s “The Event” documentary

As announced last week, starting next week, from July 2nd, the subscribers of the Bell TV app will be able to watch the brand new documentary called “The Event” in English or “L’événement” in French, which will document everything that goes into organizing big events such as music festivals. Jeff Stinco took a huge part in the production of this documentary and will also be narrating all 8 episodes – in both languages. Throughout the summer, the 30-minute-long episodes will only be available on the Bell TV app, but in September they should be available online.

At a press conference announcing this project, Jeff said: “I am very proud to participate in this production because it gives me the chance to be creative and show what it takes to organize a large event. What interests me is looking more at the people from behind the scenes, without whom nothing would be possible.”

RECAP: Pierre on Patrick’s show ‘Ça Commence Bien’

This morning, Simple Plan’s lead singer Pierre Bouvier appeared as a guest on his old friend’s Patrick Langlois’ morning show – ‘Ça Commence Bien’. Thanks to Gabrielle you can now read a recap of what Pierre talked about:

– Pierre discussed the works on the new album – that they’re inspired by the big bands of the 60’s, also with more dance songs – but that they’re all different songs with different styles

– according to Pierre his oldest daughter (Lennon) really listens to the new songs and that’s how he can tell if they’re good or not

– another discussed topic was the Simple Plan Foundation charity golf tournament, which is coming up on August 6th

– and finally he also talked about the recent Reset reunion – saying how he didn’t think it was that different from a Simple Plan show for him cause his energy on stage always stays the same – however it was harder for Chuck (who had to play really fast) and that he was surprised that Reset actually changed some people’s lives considering it was a band he had when he was like 14 years old or so
