Thank to HollywoodPQ, here’s a couple more fantastic shots of Simple Plan from the press conference and the benefit event for the Simple Plan Foundation that took place yesterday at the Corona Theatre in Montreal, Canada:

Yesterday, on November 12th, Simple Plan held their 6th annual Simple Plan Foundation benefit event, entitled “Simple Plan et Amis / Simple Plan and Friends” at the Corona Theatre in Montreal, Canada. A couple hours before the actual event started, representatives of various media channels were invited to take part in the press conference, where Simple Plan announced this year’s donations through their Foundation. In total, Simple Plan Foundation donated over $265 000 to more than 20 organizations.
– $10 000 – to Red Cross Canada – to help with rescue operations in Philippines after the disasterous typhoon that hit the country a couple days ago
– $20 000 – to UMQ – to support the employment of young people through youth centers in Quebec
– $50 000 – to the Saint Justine hospital and its “Transition Area” project that focuses on the healing power of music (see the accompanying video for this project here)
– and many more…
Donated in 2013 (in total): + $265 000
Raised in total since the start of the SPF: $1 265 000
After the doors of the Corona Theatre opened at 6pm, Simple Plan held an auction (with all proceeds going to the Simple Plan Foundation), in which one of the most interesting experiences – dinner with the members of Simple Plan – went to the highest bidder for $8 000. After that, a series of concerts took place – first Coeur de Pirate, Les Trois Accords and finally Simple Plan.
The band performed 13 songs in total – featuring two exclusive moments. First, Simple Plan shared the stage for the first time with Coeur de Pirate, who co-wrote Jet Lag with them and finally came to sing it with the band live. Then, towards the end of the set, Simple Plan revealed that they would in fact be playing ANOTHER new song from the upcoming EP – “Lucky One” (as the band asked their fans not to record the song, in case of any online leaks, I will not be posting it on SP.cz). See the complete setlist below (thanks to Jennifer)::

And finally here are the first pictures from both the press conference and the actual Simple Plan Foundation benefit event. There will be more (and better) pictures coming in the next few hours, so stay tuned!

Christine Long from CTV published the first image from Simple Plan’s soundcheck for tonight’s long-expected Simple Plan Foundation benefit event, where the band will be performing acoustically. According to Miss Long, they also rehearsed the brand new song “The Rest Of Us” – so the attendees will most probably get to hear it live already this evening.
Check out the photos (which also reveal that Coeur de Pirate will indeed be performing Jet Lag with Simple Plan for the first time)from the soundcheck in the gallery:

Tele V published a bunch of gorgeous new photos from the taping of En Mode Salvail yesterday, where Eric Salvail interviewed Simple Plan and where they later on performed. Check them out:

During Simple Plan’s visit of the “En Mode Salvail” show yesterday, the show’s Facebook page has been updated with three very exclusive pictures of Simple Plan that you can now check out below.
It’s rather extraordinary that the first one is out (even though it’s censored) – because if you remember any of the interviews Simple Plan did during their promotion of the SP book, they said countless of times that some of the pictures they couldn’t post in the book were the ones taken at the Playboy Mansion – so now you can check one out that also features Chuck Comeau and Frank Borin. The second picture is from the behind the scenes of the Get Your Heart On! photoshoot with the guys naked behind a surf board. And last but definitely not the least, we finally have a colorful version of Chuck’s old high school picture. Enjoy:
