Backstage and soundcheck at La Gibelotte festival
Yesterday afternoon Simple Plan arrived to Sorel-Tracy, a city just an hour away from Montreal, where they performed that night at La Gibelotte festival. As always the show was preceeded by a soundcheck attended by a couple of Simple Plan fans from which you can now check out some pictures in the gallery along with a few new pictures from the backstage of this event – most notably the picture of Simple Plan with their opening band Final State:
Golfing, golfing, golfing
With the weather being so very nice in Canada, there is no way some of the members of Simple Plan would have such opportunity just slide and decided to play golf a little bit more. And as you can see from the pictures, it was mostly Mr. Bouvier who played it at least three times this past month. Once in Saint Raphael (thanks SP.BR for the pic), then again in Fort McMurray a couple days ago with Chuck and finally this Thursday, where he took part of the benefit golf tournament held by Omnis Gervais-Talbot in St-Hyacinthe in favor of the Simple Plan Foundation. Omnium Gervais-Talbot donated $50 000 to the Simple Plan Foundation
Yesterday afternoon, the charitable organization Omnium Gervais-Talbot formed by two Philadelphia Flyers players – Max Talbot and Bruno Gervais, held a golf tournament at Club de Gold St-Hyacinthe in St-Hyacinthe, QC with all the benefits from this event donated to the Simple Plan Foundation. Here is a short video of how this part of the event went on.
Later in the evening, the members of Simple Plan arrived on site (David and Jeff on their motorbikes), performed acoustically at the Omnium Gervais-Talbot event and received $50 000 for the Simple Plan Foundation. After the event Bruno Gervais tweeted about Simple Plan, describing them as “Class acts! Great guys! Rockstars!”
