One of Simple Plan’s greatest adventures of this year took place just a couple days ago (October 28th to November 1st) in the Gulf of Mexico, when the band took part in the first edition of the Warped Rewind At Sea cruise from New Orleans to Mexico.
Simple Plan put together a video from some of the footage they took during this 4-day trip, which consists of clips featuring their live shows, hanging out with Good Charlotte, their special Halloween costumes and so much more!
Simple Plan recently brought some serious nostalgia on the Warped Rewind At Sea cruise, which took them, thousands of fans and other bands, from New Orleans to Mexico and back. And since most of the attendees of the cruise were rather secluded due to the limited access to the Internet, we are only now getting new bits and pieces from this unique pop-punk boat ride.
During the stay on board, Simple Plan performed a number of sets, promising that each set would feature a totally different setlist. And they weren’t lying – because of that, the fans got to hear some pretty special tracks! For instance, on one of the acoustic sets, which featured only Pierre, Seb and Jeff on stage – Simple Plan performed a very rarely played ‘Promise’ from their second album, ‘Still Not Getting Any’.
Let’s now take ourselves back to 2004 with the following video capturing ‘Promise’ on Warped Rewind At Sea:
Over 3500 people gathered in the Pepsi Center WTC on Monday, November 6th, to witness the second Mexican show of Simple Plan’s No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls 15th anniversary tour – in Mexico City. The show was packed with the bands long-time fans, as well as the newer ones and even some unexpected guests paid a visit to the show, such as the members of The Vamps [but more about them in the next article].
If you’ve already attended one of the shows of the 15th anniversary tour, or if you at least follow the news about them, you must already know that in between ‘One Day’ and ‘Perfect’, the band performs the song ‘Grow Up’, during which Pierre and Chuck switch their positions: Pierre becomes the drummer and Chuck takes the mic and usually has a little speech to the crowd. In Mexico City however, the speech got a little political due to the fact that Chuck decided to condemn the actions of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, who’s attitude towards Mexico has been appalling and previously criticized by many.
Thanks to Karen, we got ahold of a video of Chuck’s speech in Mexico City, which you can also read in its transcription below:
“You know, there’s been a lot of idiot people around the world talking shit about and insulting this beautiful country. And I just wanna say to Mr. fucking Donald Trump that he’s a fucking idiot! We fucking love you guys! You guys made us feel at home! Muchas gracias!”

As the opening act for the current Mexican tour, Simple Plan chose We The Kings – American pop-rock band they have previously shared the stage many times – for instance in the U.S., Europe and Australia.
Since the We The Kings’ set was advertised as acoustic only, it was only the band’s lead singer, Travis Clark, who made its way to Mexico and who warms up the stage before SP hit it every night on this Mexican tour. Check out a brand new picture of the members of Simple Plan with Travis from We The Kings from last night in Mexico City:
Looks like all the previous hints from Brazilian promoters about Simple Plan perhaps considering to come back to Brazil quite soon may have been true after all! Simple Plan have just teased an upcoming tour announcement regarding Brazil – and what may be even more exciting for the local fans is that if the tour may be a NPNHJB tour – even if it happens in 2018.
In one of their latest comments on their official Instagram page, Simple Plan replied to a fan asking specifically for a NPNHJB tour in Brazil saying:
“We’ll have some good news for you! Please be patient 🇧🇷”

This is the second tour already teased for the upcoming year. Just a few weeks ago, Simple Plan similarly teased a tour in Australia. For Australians, the possibility of Brazil having its own NPNHJB tour in 2018 (despite the record officially celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2017) may be very good news, as it could mean they are planning to bring this specific tour to Australia as well. Stay tuned for more info!
