Simple Plan to be featured on Accès Illimité

Accès Illimité, a TVA produced Canadian cultural program hosted by Anouk Meunier and Jean-Philippe Dion, is coming back for its fourth season this Sunday, February 8th, and will be bringing along lots of interviews from all over the world.

The hosts have traveled to the United States, Italy, France and England and managed to speak to such personalities as David Guetta, Jose Theodore, Mika and also Simple Plan.

It is still unknown whether the interview with Simple Plan with be a part of the first episode of the program this Sunday or later on but we definitely have something to look forward to. Anouk Meunier, one of the hosts of the show, has recently published a picture on her Twitter profile which features her along with Pierre Bouvier, probably taken very recently, so if parts of the interview were taken in California, we may hopefully learn the latest about the new album.

Finally, below you can have a look at the trailer for the 4th season of Accès Illimité, featuring shots taken during the Simple Plan Foundation benefit event.

Update from the song-writing process

Yesterday, Pierre and Chuck devoted full 12 hours to writing new songs and recording demos as a part of their song-writing process before hiting the recording studio with the rest of the band in just a few weeks. Check out what Pierre has to say after this long day:

Simple Plan featured in the “Lennon or McCartney” documentary

Over the last 10 years exactly 550 musicians and actors were asked a rather simply looking question: “Lennon or McCartney?” which of course refers to the song-writing duo from The Beatles – John Lennon and Paul McCartney. Scared Goose Productions put all these video or audio bits from the interviews together in an alphabetical order and released them together in a form of a 34-minute-long video on YouTube.

While some artists chose to not answer, some (15) voted for George Harrison and 4 for Ringo Starr, in the end, it was John Lennon who won with 282 votes against 196 votes for Paul McCartney.

Among the artists who had to decide between these two musicians are for example Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory), Gary Oldman, Jonas Brothers, Kary Perry, Justin Bieber, Maroon 5 and also our very own Simple Plan. Check out who Pierre, Jeff and David decided to choose at mark 23:26:

Sebastien contributes to ‘Please Come Home For Christmas’ cover by Montreal artists

The Evermoor Audio studio got a few Montreal artists together to create a very unique version of The Eagles’ song ‘Please Come Home For Christmas.’ Sebastien Lefebvre from Simple Plan contributed with his guitar skills and you can even spot him on the video for this song at marks 2:51 and 3:08.

Video tribute to Simple Plan in honor of their YMCA Quebec Peace Medal

In order to pay tribute to Simple Plan, who recently received the Peace Medal from YMCA Quebec, this organisation gathered short video messages from various personalities (e.g. Marie-Mai) and foundations (mostly from Canada) that the Simple Plan Foundation has helped or that have supported this Foundation and the guys’ charitable efforts over the years.

You can now check out this video tribute that consists of both English and French messages below:”
