As announced earlier, tomorrow on January 19th Simple Plan will be performing for free in front of the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada, as a part of the “Week of Festivites” that celebrates the start of the new ice-hockey season of the Montreal Canadiens hockey team.
Long-time Simple Plan fans will also be happy to see Frenchie, a.k.a. Patrick Ouimet, taking over the place of Simple Plan’s drum tech again, even though it’s probably just a one time thing. Frenchie used to be Simple Plan’s drum and guitar tech a few years back but then left and was replaced by Sean Maestri, who was most probably unavailable this time around.
Yesterday, Frenchie and Frank Joly already started setting up in Simple Plan’s rehearsal space, the guys practised for a bit, set up the program effects for show and basically just got ready for tomorrow’s big show.
