Patrick Bouchard stepping in as Seb’s one-time replacement for Hockey Night Canada

After we found out earlier today that unfortunately, Sebastien wasn’t capable of attending tonight’s Simple Plan show in Montreal at Hockey Night Canada, many have asked whether the band would be having some guitarist stepping in for the night to play and sing his parts.

And they did! Only tonight, Simple Plan will be performing along with Patrick Bouchard – Marie-Mai’s former guitarist (thanks Justine for the info). Patrick has also confirmed so on his personal Twitter page.

You can already check out some pictures of him from the soundcheck in the gallery.

Once again, there is no need to worry about Sebastien, he is completely fine and he will be available for all the upcoming Simple Plan shows. He just couldn’t make it to this one.

In the past, Simple Plan have only once used another guitar player to temporarily fill in for a missing band member. That was in 2009 when Jean-Sebastien Chouinard stepped in as Jeff’s replacement for a couple shows, while Jeff was expecting the birth of his second daughter.
