Simple Plan team up with Desjardins to help teens pursue their dreams

The Desjardins movement has published a new video on their official YouTube channel that features a fantastic footage of Simple Plan, talking about the new contest for 13 to 17 year old writers, composers and performers.

The video is in French, so thanks to Charbel, here you can read what the video is about:

Simple Plan heard about Desjardins’ project to promote music and thought that a contest like this was the best way to encourage kids to show their talent. The members of the band think it’s important because music and art is a part of their lives and they encourage that, since they inspire kids too. With this contest, SP’s message is: If you have dreams and you want them to come true, now’s your chance. “The key is to do something you love, not something that will be popular, it has to come from the heart,” says Chuck.

In order to participate (only residents of Canada), you have to complete a form on the MaZoneD Facebook page and send them a video of your performance. The contest starts tomorrow and the winner gets 5000$ to pursue their passion in music and another 5000$ for the community project of the winner’s choice. You can also win VIP concert tickets to one of the Simple Plan show on the MaZoneD Facebook page.
