For a couple months now, the members of Simple Plan have been constantly mentioning wanting to release an EP that would consist of 5 to 7 songs that didn’t make it to their last record (Get Your Heart On! – 2011) in order to make the “waiting period” in between albums feel shorter. However there were no definite indications as to when the boys would start recording these songs (which currently only exist as demo versions) – uptil now that is!
In preparation for Simple Plan’s appearance at the Queen City Ex festival in August, Jeff Stinco gave an interview to My 92.1 radio station that resides in Regina, SK, Canada. In this interview Jeff covered many topics including the long-awaited info on the upcoming EP, revealing that Simple Plan should start recording the songs for the EP in late September or early October of this year. Jeff also stated that by the end of the year there will definitely be some material out – either a single or the EP.
