Simple Plan release French version of “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”

Earlier this morning, Jeff Stinco appeared on the Canadian CKOI radio station, where he was set to premiere Simple Plan’s new single “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”. However to a huge surprise to all the fans who were listening, the song that Jeff premiered wasn’t the English version of the song that we got to hear yesterday for the first time, but a French version.

According to Bianca, who was listening to the live stream, the structure of the song is similar to Jet Lag’s French version – that is, French verses and an English chorus.

As of right now, the audio of the French version is not available anywhere, but I’m sure we’ll get to hear it in time. It is also currently unknown whether the French version will be featured on the album, but if Jet Lag’s French version is any indication, fans from France or Canada may expect it on their editions of the album, or we may also get it in the form of a bonus song.

On September 3rd, Simple Plan performed at the sold-out venue Le Trianon in Paris, France, which must have been a night to remember for all the attendees. Check out the 18-song setlist the guys played (same as in Luxembourg and Lyon):

And big thanks to many of the fans who attended this show, I put together a couple of scoops from the soundcheck and the show that might be of interest:

INTERESTING SCOOPS FROM THE SHOW:
– during the concert two fans were pulled up on stage because of the signs they made and hugged the band and took pictures. One of them even got to sing the first part of “I’m Just A Kid” [see video here]
– Pierre’s daughters played the drums during the soundcheck in Paris and during the show they once again threw down the beach balls during “Summer Paradise” from the balcony and eventually Soren also appeared on stage too
– Simple Plan performed the French version of both “Summer Paradise” and “Jet Lag”
– Pierre had to look up the lyrics to “Take My Hand” during soundcheck
– Jeff’s family members who live in Paris were there supporting him
– towards the end of the show, the fans held up signs that said “Merci”

And finally, here are some of the first awesome pictures from the Paris show:

French version of Summer Paradise live at Festivent

Thanks to Camille I’ve learned that on Saturday when Simple Plan played in Levis, Canada at Festiventu, they also included a little French part during their performance of Summer Paradise. It is the first time that the band has played the French version of this song live and you can check out a recording of it below:
