Simple Plan enter TOP 30 on HOT AC radio with Singing In The Rain

Simple Plan are slowly but surely still moving up the U.S. charts with their latest single ‘Signing In The Rain’! With a little help of their recent acoustic promo tour across the U.S. radio stations, the band’s single managed to rise up two positions to take the #30 spot this week, which has finally moved them to TOP 30 most played songs on HOT AC radios.

Update: The song moved up to #29 as of the end of the week on July 10th!

According to the Mediabase statistics, the song has already been played 811 times so far this week, as opposed to the 756 plays in the whole previous week. The last time we saw a significant move like hat was in May, when the band reached TOP 40.

To help the band climbing up the charts, make sure to let your local radio station aware that you want to hear more and request ‘Singing In The Rain’. The more airplay the single gets, the more chances there are of Simple Plan coming to play in your area.

Sing with me now:

Assis dans ma voiture, c’est la guerre, tout le monde klaxone (tout le monde klaxone, ooO).
Mon ex fait la crise, à tue-tête, au bout du téléphone (au bout du téléphone, ooO).
Au moins j’apperçois les nuages,
Mais je refuse de perdre courage.

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo.

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo..

Au moins j’apperçois les nuages,
Mais je refuse de perdre courage,
No, no, no, no, no, no, no!

So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).
So I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing (I’ll be singing),
I’ll be singing in the rain (singing in the rain).

No matter what life wants to throw my way,
I’ll be singing, I’ll be singing in the rain.
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo. (singing in the rain. I got a song in my heart and I’m bulletproof)
oO, ooO, ooO, o, oooo. (ooO yeah)

Dramatic reading of Singing In The Rain in Tampa

From Bonita Springs, the guys from Simple Plan headed to Tampa, FL yesterday for a second performance of the day, which took place at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Check out some of the cool pictures from this event in the gallery:

The whole event was organized by the radio station Mix 100.7, which broadcasted a part of the event live on their Facebook page. Below, you can check out a clip, in which SP talk about their latest single ‘Singing In The Rain’ and Pierre is then asked to do a “dramatic reading” of the song. See how he dealt with that here:

Singing In The Rain climbs up to #35 on Hot AC chart

And we’re back with this week’s reports from Mediabase, which tell us how Simple Plan are doing on the U.S. music charts lately. 3 weeks ago Simple Plan reached TOP 40 on the Hot AC (adult contemporary) chart and their single Singing In The Rain still doesn’t show any signs of weekness.

This past week (June 7th to June 13th) it finally reached position #35 with 628 spins on U.S. Hot AC radios, which is 110 more than the previous week (only 518 spins). It is expected that thanks to the band’s promo tour in the U.S. radio stations, which took place this week, the single will be played a lot more and next week’s results could show an even bigger jump.

Besides the single, Simple Plan’s new album ‘Taking One For The Team’ is also still keeping it’s steady position among the TOP 50 Hot AC albums in the U.S., currently at #49.

Singing In The Rain among TOP 10 added songs to Hot AC radios in the U.S.

Simple Plan’s latest single ‘Singing In The Rain’ is still climbing up the charts in the U.S.! Not only is SITR currently at no. 37 on the Hot AC chart, according to Mediabase, the song is also currently among the TOP 10 most added songs on Hot AC radio stations. Simple Plan share the 9th place with The Lumineers – both bands’ songs have been added to 6 radio stations this week.

This continuous success of Singing In The Rain on U.S. radio charts should be a good sign for the local fans. The band will be heading back to the U.S. this Sunday, starting a short run of radio acoustic sets around the east coast. Check out where you can catch them here.
