Simple Plan announce rescheduled dates for Texas after hurricane cancelations

After they were forced to cancel the concerts in Houston and Austin, Texas after the state was hit by hurricane Harvey, Simple Plan promised local fans that they would be back very soon with rescheduled shows. And they kept their promise.

Simple Plan will be returning to Houston and Austin on November 29th and 30th respectively and tickets are already on sale. All previously purchased tickets for the August shows will be honored. The band also announced they would be selling a special t-shirt available on these two shows with all proceeds going to local charities. Read the band’s full statement below:

“Following the postponement of our Texas shows because of Hurricane Harvey, we are very excited to finally announce the new rescheduled dates for Houston and Austin. We will be coming back at House Of Blues in Houston on November 29th and at Emo’s in Austin on November 30th and we can’t wait to play for you!

All tickets already purchased will be valid for the new rescheduled dates; VIP pizza party spots will also still be valid so if you already have a ticket or a VIP spot, you’re all set! There’s an extremely limited amount of tickets and VIP spots still available for both shows so hurry before they all sell out.

As announced last week, the Simple Plan Foundation has donated 5000$ to the Hurricane Relief Effort and we will also have a special exclusive shirt on sale at both shows, with all proceeds benefiting local charities. We love you Texas and can’t wait to see you in November!”

Mike Herrera (MXPX) joins Simple Plan on stage in Seattle for ‘Responsibility’ performance

Last night Simple Plan performed at the first sold-out show in Seattle (with second show added for tonight) at Neptune Theatre and 2 800 people gathered there to witness quite a special show!

The best part came in the middle of the No Pads set, when after ‘God Must Hate Me’ the band welcomed their old friend Mike Herrera from MXPX on stage and together they performed the song ‘Responsibility’ by MXPX. You may recall that the last time Simple Plan performed this song with Mike was at the 2015 APMAs.

After the show, Mike wrote on Instagram about being reunited with his old friends from Simple Plan:

“So good to see my Simple Plan dudes. We toured together years ago and have shared the stage many times. These guys are all-pro legends! Thanks for the hospitality guys! I love you guys!! Go see this show – there’s a lot of killer music packed into one night!
