Last Sunday, Simple Plan filmed a few shots for their upcoming video for their new single, This Song Saved My Life, along with the music video director – David F. Mewa. The filming crew recorded Simple Plan along with their fans at the book signing in Toronto, Canada and also at their concert at The Big Jingle later that evening (here you can check out the pictures from the making of the video). But still, the band promised that there would be a way for international fans to be in the video too.
This was confirmed now by David F. Mewa, who is currently putting together the recorded footage from Toronto – and also adding Simple Plan’s footage from their tours in Europe and Canada. According to David, the footage from Australia will arrive tomorrow and soon he should also be adding the footage from Simple Plan’s tour in South America and Asia. “This is gonna be a truly international video. Something for the fans,” David tweeted.
The video should be released in about a month.
Update: David has confirmed that this is just phase one and that fan submissions will also be included in the video – in phase two. Phase two should be announced soon.
