Simple Plan reveal new song-title and more on Accès illimité

After lots of promotion, Canadian fans were finally able to watch the special episode of Accès illimité, which featured interesting interviews with the members of the band. The most interesting piece of information that came from this show was a brand new song-title: “Everything Sux”, which according to Jeff is one of his favorite tracks from the new album! Unfortunately, according to the representatives of Accès illimité, the show will not be available for the rest of the world.

Nevertheless, in the gallery you can check out a few stills from the episode that were posted by the show’s social media sites:

Accès illimité also released a scene which did not make it to the final cut of the episode, which you can now check out below:

And finally, Accès illimité also revealed a couple of quotes from this episode, which you can find below in English:

Pierre: “Boss is not the right word. It’s more like a dictator.”
David: (about fame) “It’s something I’ve never assimilated into.”
Chuck: “We are very proud of our Foundation.”
Jeff: “We are slow writers but it gives us a chance to do lots of stuff!”
David: “I did not start playing music to get recognised.”
Seb: “It’s not old but we have 20 years to go.”
Jeff: “SP was my hobby when I was a classical guitarist.”
Jeff: “Making the 4th album was a great therapy to me.”
Jeff: “Chuck is the glue of the band!”
Chuck: “Even though we’ve been together for 15 years, I’m still passionate.”
Chuck: (about SP’s future) “I’d really like to do more!”
Pierre: “Chuck and I are like brothers, who are complete opposites!”

And thanks to Katherine, here’s an English translation of this video:

Anouk: Looking at all you’ve accomplished, are you exactly where you want to be?

Chuck: No, we want to do more; there’s still so many things we can accomplish! We aren’t the type of band to slow down because we feel that we’re well-established or comfortable with what we’ve done. It’s the opposite. I have a long list of things we haven’t done yet.

Simple Plan discuss 5th album in a new interview

After they accepted the YMCA Peace medal for their charitable work with the Simple Plan Foundation on Friday, the members of Simple Plan gave an interview to Salut, Bonjour!. In this interview, the band discussed the received award, the benefit event that took place on Sunday and also the status of their upcoming album.

Thanks to Sab, here’s some things the guys mentioned in this French interview:

– Pierre said they’ve been writing songs for about one year now, they have 40-50 of them and “3 of them aren’t that bad.”

– They say that the writing process is as painful as it is fun. But Pierre adds that it’s thank to these “break-through” moments that they end up with the best songs.

– He explains that they are kind of slow to release their albums because they do everything. They don’t have anyone to write the songs for them or anything like some other bands who only have to pick the songs they like. SP write the lyrics, the music, and then they choose the best ones.

– “The waiting is worth it, it comes from us, it’s our ideas, our lives.” – Chuck Comeau

Simple Plan on stage with a fan in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce

Simple Plan finished their so far scheduled shows for the summer in the little city in the Quebec province called Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce at the event organised alongside the competition of speeding trucks. For a city that small (Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce has only about 4000 inhabitants) can such event surely have a major impact – at least according to the reporter of TVA, who said so in her video-interview with Sebastien. “A few people have who told me that too. It’s very flattering, for sure, but we’re happy to go anywhere. So if we can make the event this year, it’s for the better,” replied Sebastien Lefebvre.

You can check out the full report from this event on TVA here:

And as alwayws, Simple Plan definitely made many of their fans’ days in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce. Among them – Gabrielle (who some of you may remember as the girl with a Simple Plan tattoo from the TSSML video) – asked the band if she could sing with them on stage during the soundcheck and lo and behold – her dream came true! Check out the following picture of her and the Simple Plan guys together rocking out on stage:

More pictures from the soundcheck can also be found in the gallery along with one picture of Pierre backstage:
