25 interviews in one day? Why not!

With the release of their new book Simple Plan: The Official Story just around the corner (the official release date is on November 8th), the boys are expected to do a lot of press in the following days, and also many signing sessions.

Today was a very big press day. According to Chuck, they would be doing 25 interviews today (while Seb said there was actually 50 of them). And while Pierre is still back home in California, Chuck, Sebastien, Jeff and David were the ones to be interviewed by media like Virgin and NRJ radio, V Tele or TVA.

Below, thanks to Charbel you can listen to the interview for NRJ radio Montreal (in French). The guys talked about meeting Steve Carell, the Pop disaster tour in 2002, where they joined acts like Blink 182 and Green Day and also about the Musik exposition in Montreal that will feature an exposition about Simple Plan.

And here are already a few first pictures from today’s interviews:

AUDIO: Simple Plan’s performance at Los 40 Principales

As I’ve promised you earlier today on Facebook and Twitter, below you will find out (thanks to Désiée) a complete audio of last night’s Simple Plan performance for the Los 40 Principales radio in Mexico City, Mexico, which includes the band playing 7 songs and also a little interview in which Pierre stunned the crowd with his perfest Spanish.

Joel Madden makes a reference to a Simple Plan album at NRL grand final

If any Simple Plan fans were watching the NRL Grand Final on September 30th (the final match of the 2012 NRL season in Australia – that’s rugby, guys), they may have spotted a little Simple Plan reference during the special feature with Joel and Benji Madden that aired right before their band Good Charlotte took the stage to entertain the crowd that gathered to see the premiership-deciding game.

During the feature (that you can watch here) at approximately 1:42 mark, Joel (who along with his band have been friends with Simple Plan for a very long time) clearly referenced Simple Plan’s debut album “No Pads, No Helmets… Just Balls”, which is coincidentaly also the album that Joel’s vocals are featured in – on the song “You Don’t Mean Anything”.

Thanks to JetLagJoel, you can check out the little reference on the audio file below:

Simple Plan’s acoustic set at WIXX radio in Green Bay, WI

Yesterday, after one canceled flight, the boys finally made it to Green Bay, WI (in the United States) where they were scheduled to perform an acoustic set and do a little meet&greet with their local fans at the WIXX radio. The only person missing there was (as usual per acoustic shows) Chuck, because as a drummer, he is really not very needed at these sort of shows. That of course didn’t stop the band from mentioning him at the stage here and there, mostly joking that he’s probably watching over them online anyway, judging the setlist and everything.

Here you can check out many pictures from this acoustic show and from the follow-up meet&greet:

Simple Plan played 5 songs in total: I’d Do Anything, Welcome To My Life, Addicted, Summer Paradise and Perfect.

Although between Addicted and Summer Paradise, they also did a very little cover of Sugar Ray’s “Under The Sun” and Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend”. I definitely reccomend you to listen to the audio (sorry, the video is missing) taken by Lenka as it features the whole acoustic performance. Although the sound is kind of poor during the songs, it’s very clear during the parts where the boys joke around, do the covers, answer the host’s questions and discuss everything from nobody understanding Sean Paul’s lyrics in Summer Paradise to the Olympic games’ opening ceremony. Make sure to check it out:.

Listen to the Canadian version of “Jet Lag” (feat. Marie-Mai)

It has only yesterday come to my attention that for many months now, the radios in Canada have been playing a slightly different French version of Simple Plan’s song “Jet Lag” (feat. Marie-Mai) that we were used to (check the official music video). As mentioned in the post yesterday, the song is different only in a couple of lyrics, but still, if you don’t live in Canada and have not come across this version of the song yet, you can check it out below:
